The City Council of Palma has approved the tendering out of the project for the realisation of the green belt of the maritime façade, that will be financed thanks to the new Plan E. The project will be initiated on the site owned by the municipality, that will be transformed into a park comprising a surface of 20,000 square metres, thus making up half of the maritime façade's park. This project implies an investment of 5 million euros (4.3 million euros plus VAT). The execution of this first stage of the project will take 7 months and a total of 60 people will be employed during the process. The works are envisaged to begin approximately in April/May 2010.
